Many graduates who enter our profession do not have a finance-related degree. What they do have is the right set of soft skills (such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork, empathy) that make them attractive to clients and effective in the workplace.

Whilst the scheme is for individuals there are advantages of an awarding body liaising directly with the CII.

Students who complete academic and CII professional qualifications at the same time
A number of universities actively promote CII qualifications to their students who may complete CII qualification units at the same time as their degree. The advantage is they graduate with both academic and professional qualifications which increases their employment prospects:

Post-ACII progression
We have agreements with a small number of UK universities that standardise progression from CII qualifications to a range of degrees, available by distance learning, online learning or classroom-based.
