Andrew Eden, Flood & Coastal Risk Manager: Adaptation & Resilience, Environment Agency
Andrew Eden is the national leader for championing the themes of flood and coastal resilience and adaptation in the Environment Agency, as well as the national programme executive for the £200m Flood and Coastal Innovation programmes.
Andrew has 15 years experience across the flood and coastal risk management sector, working in private and public sector matters, developing national planning guidance and policy for England, new digital services for flood risk information and embedding the latest climate science into the Environment Agency’s processes.
He has played a leading role in developing the concepts of flood and coastal resilience in the National Flood & Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy and his team is responsible for setting the national guidance on accounting for climate change allowances in developing planning and flood and coastal risk management schemes – used by all local authorities.
