Course Summary
This is an advanced qualification, covering the skills needed to advise customers at a senior level in banks and building societies, or in other parts of financial services, such as insurance. It leads to front-line roles dealing with customers and requiring technical knowledge, product awareness and interpersonal skills. There is an option for successful apprentices to become team leaders, supporting and motivating colleagues while keeping up with all legal, regulatory and risk requirements.

Qualification: Apprenticeship including Award in Financial Administration FA1 and CF1 or Certificate in Insurance IF1-IF9

Who is it for?
Those in an entry-level role, looking to progress.
What will they learn?
There are two routes to the qualification, depending on whether the apprentice works in financial services or insurance services.
In both, they will cover: the role of their organisation in the financial services sector; regulatory and legal compliance; their company’s products and services; customer relationship management; problem solving. Apprentices who manage a team will also cover team leadership and development.
Assessment
Apprentices will take a qualification through the CII before being assessed at the end (‘end-point assessment’).
What's next?
Having completed this apprenticeship, employees can go for an award in financial administration. Or they can continue to develop their career within their organisation through a range of possible pathways, such as giving advice on regulated products, or becoming a specialist in a specific area.
